The Power of Visuals

Kleinhempel is a family-owned company for large-format print and visual communication. It was founded in Hamburg in 1936 and is now run by the third generation. In 2026 it merged with Erler+Pless, a GIGA member since 2006, to form the Kleinhempel Group. Together with its frame-system brand Luminatore®, the group offers print, hardware and installation from a single source.

Production

The group produces at its own sites in Hamburg and Bad Bramstedt. It has extra capacity in Portugal through Colorful S.A., a company that grew out of GIGA. The equipment includes six large-format printers for roll and textile media, in-house sewing and finishing, and its own frame and LED light-system manufacturing. Owner and General Manager Charles Sarver originally began his career with Pixus as a member of the sales team, working alongside founders Max and Dianne Hoyt and Todd Landry, the business' former owner and CEO.
